I’m letting Ellie from the chiconomise team take over the blog today as she tried her very first groupon last week and wanted to tell you all about the experience. Ellie, take it away…

“So, working at the home of great deals I have never been sceptical about the delights of group buying, but was just waiting for the right deal for me. I couldn’t say no to £3 for a £25 facial with True Skin, and 10mins from where I live – that is one serious bargain.

I have to admit I was a little nervous having never done the process before, but this is how it went down.. I rang up one week in advance, they had one appointment left for the day I wanted so that worked out perfectly – the voucher was a good one because it could be reedemed any day of the week. I checked about 10 times that I could use my voucher (I always panic about that type of thing) but of course, they said yes.

When the day came off I went for my facial, not only is this my first daily deal, but also my very first facial! After an in-depth consultation – including putting my head in a very interesting ‘facial analysis’ machine and seeing pictures of myself looking very scary (sun damage – eek!) the consultant told me what I have been doing wrong in my skin care regime and what I can do to improve it – very handy.

She gave expert advice on what products would be good for my skin and used them in my facial. They never pressured me to buy but I have to admit I was tempted to! The Express Facial was great, I thoroughly enjoyed being pampered and it’s something I could definitely get used to. When it had finished I handed my voucher in and off I went home feeling relaxed, with my skin feeling fully refreshed. What made it even better is that it cost just £3 - too good to be true, I think not!

I’d give True Skin 10/10, I’d go again with or without the voucher (I’m sure they’d like to hear that!). I’m very excited about my next daily deal – infact today I have bought myself a fab £20 voucher for ASOS, for a £9.”
