We all loved to be pampered by professionals, but did you know that nearly all spa treatments can be replicated at home for a fraction of the price? That’s right chiconomistas, within your kitchen cupboards lay a whole host of beauty secrets waiting to be discovered…

Many of our daily foods can be used to create simple yet effective beauty treatments. For example Spanish women swear by putting cold thinly sliced potato under their eyes. Apparently it helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness! So if you feel like saving some cash whilst also getting the spa treatment, why not give DIY beauty a go? We’ve found three of the easiest and most effective recipes for you to try, good luck!

- Anti-Blemish Face Mask

- 2 tablespoons of Oatmeal

- 1 teaspoon of Honey

- 2 tablespoons of chilled Bio-Yoghurt

- Water

To make this great acne fighting mask simply mix the yogurt and oatmeal together, then add the honey and splash of water. Apply to your face and leave for 15mins until it hardens. Wash off and viola, flawless skin for free!

Exfoliating Lip Scrub

Mix two tablespoons of sugar and honey together with a pea sized amount of Vaseline. Rub all over lips for a silky soft pout that doesn’t cost a thing.

Nourishing Hair Mask
Mix the flesh of one mashed avocado with two tablespoons of honey. Apply to your hair and wrap in a warm towel for 15mins, then rise. The result: lusciously soft locks that leave your purse untouched.
