Save Money: It’s all about the gossip

Monday 14th June

In chiconomise towers we have a few – not so secret – addictions. They range from shoes and bags through to cocktails and expensive nail varnish.  One thing we just can’t seem to overcome tho is our need for weekly and monthly girlie mags (um no, not that type).

From Glamour to Grazia and Heat to Harpers, between us we probably spend enough to keep a small community alive in some parts of the world (ouch, that made us feel bad).

You know how it goes, you nip out for a bit of lunch or your weekly shop and there it is, your favourite magazine,  just calling out at you from the shelf. Suddenly something happens to us, we need to know why Peter Andre is saying “enough” or how to wear the best maxi dresses and before we know it, we’ve added another fiver to our bill.  Repeat that every week and you don’t need us to tell you that is quite a wedge of cash you’re spending.

So what’s the answer? Going without our magazine fix is a no-no. Going to the hairdressers every week so we can read theirs is going to make us skint – quickly – and reading over the shoulder of the girl next to you on the bus will only go so far…

Well don’t worry.  We have the answer and it is easy. Ready for it?

Subscribe. Simples.

We have been doing a spot of homework and have found out that if we subscribe to our mags of choice, we can save a small fortune. Not only that, we get free delivery so no more schlepping to the shops in the rain for us.  We can just sit there with a cuppa, a Dairy Milk and our PJ’s on and wait for the postie to drop it off. Lovely.

There are offers on practically every magazine you can think of but to give you an example of the kind of cash you can save, look at these:

- Grazia, save 40% here (plus get a free filofax set worth £100)
