One of the main themes of Autumn/Winter 2010 is “the wild”; this means shaggy furs, knits and contrasting layers. One of the key items is the shaggy fur gilet; it also might have to be the only thing you buy because for this look you can get out your old cardigans and give them a new lease of life.

The first fur gilet is a Topshop creation and is £80. This item is specifically made for the “wild” theme with its contrasting leather buckles over the front and long shaggy fur rather than the neat short fur that we saw last year.

The next option is a Lipsy design available for £65, it too contrasts textures by using a satin belt around the middle. It’s a lot shorter than the Topshop version but is on theme and doesn’t leave a massive hold in your pocket.
