Queen’s New Year List Honours Fashion

Each year the Queen honours a select group of inspirational people by adding a couple more prestigious letters to their names. We’re talking MBE’s and the Queen’s New Year Honours list. This year a whole bunch of amazing fashion industry greats were awarded, inspiring us more than ever to be fabulous in 2012.
Among the names now with new email signatures were shoe designer Emma Hope, jewellery designing husband and wife team John Ayton and Annoushka Ducas, and Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki.
But, the new MBE we’re most excited about was founder and director of Fashion East, Lulu Kennedy. As a non-for-profit organisation, Fashion East gives young and up and coming designers the chance to showcase their wears at London and Paris Fashion weeks. Without this initiative the likes Gareth Pugh, House of Holland and Jonathan Saunders of would be absent from our lives so, thank you Lulu and congrats!
