Make up literally makes up an outfit. It doesn't matter if you're in a superstar dress if your make up isn't right you won't look the part. And this is something designers have to think about when putting together their catwalk collections. So take a lesson from the masters...
Cherry red lips
Seen at a number of shows, the cherry lip look is where it's at. Use a lip liner to get a perfect look, or dab on for an English Rose flush.
Blue eye shadow
Aqua eyes are a great summer look. Choose a cream or mousse shadow rather than powder for a bold look, or wash over with a pale pink to tone down.
Pastel nails
A welcome break after all those black and plum nails. A little bit of brightness. Choose pink, yellow, blue or green for a catwalk look.
Rosy cheeks
Face make up was paired down this season. Keeping a clean base, a hint of rose was seen; just apply a pale pink to the apples of your cheeks.
Hints of bronze
Full on tan has been out for a while, but this season saw gorgeous golden highlighting. Take a light gold shimmer and coat your cheeks and temples for a sunkissed look.
