Shopping is a favourite pastime for all of us chiconomista's but which destination in particular is best for you?

We chiconomistas are partial to a bit of retail therapy and why not, we work hard for it!  So the thought of doing so all over the world makes us a tad excitable, so much so that we were tempted to book ourselves up and jet off immediately.  However, we decided we couldn't leave without sharing our favourite places with you, just promise you'll buy us a pressie!

Culture Vultures:

Ruzzini Palace, from £143 per night

Venice is home to designers such as Prada and Giorgio Armani so you know that the shopping is going to be utterly divine. Combine this with the utter beauty of Venice and its cultural history and you won't ever want to come home.  This hotel is perfect for all those that love culture what with this being an ancient historical residence.

Alternatively, Hotel Belle Arti is located in the heart of the historical centre, prices start at £90.

Beach Bunnies:

One & Only Royal Mirage, from £215 per night

Dubai, the newest trend for the shopping crazed beach lovers.  This may have something to do with the unbelievable weather all year round which you can enjoy on the most stunning beaches.  Combined with the fact that Dubai is the proud owner of the worlds largest shopping mall which boasts just about every major fashion brand you could ever dream of.  What are you waiting for!  This hotel is the icing on the cake.

Alternatively, Grosvenor House is a gorgeous hotel with their prices starting from a modest £140.

City Lovers:

Byrant Park Hotel, from £180 per night

Of course it has to be the one and only New York City, which Sex and the City character are you?  At the office we have been fighting over who gets to be who, whoever you choose you know that New York is the one stop shop for all you shopaholics who love the busy city lifestyle.  This hotel is the fashionista's first choice, known as the place for young Hollywood!

Alternatively, just as fabulous is The Hotel Gansevoort with prices starting at £165.

Art Admirers:

Hotel du Petit Moulin Paris, from £164 per night

Paris is not only a fashion capital but it is an art lovers dream.  Jam-packed with museums and galleries it is a perfect blend to determine an unforgettable break.  This hotel in particular was described by Christian Lacroix as being "like couture, where the harmony is created from a puzzle of inspirations".  A purely mesmerising place to stay.

Alternatively, Hotel Sorbonne is another chic hotel in Paris with gorgeous designer rooms but smaller price tags with the Classic Room starting from £85.

Party Animals:

Park Plaza Apartments, from £255 per night

Puerto Banus is the destination for summer if you want to bump into the elite party-goers.  The beginning of Summer is when all the opening parties commence and when the shopping is kicked up a gear.  The port is where you will find the most beautiful yachts and cute cobbled streets leading to all your designer names including Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton.  These apartments have beautiful views of the surrounding area due to fact that they are on top of the port.

Alternatively, Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus is only a short distance walk from all of the fab shops with prices starting from £150.
